International Sign Language Day 2024 was celebrated with outstanding enthusiasm by the Deaf community. The Foundation of Deaf Women participated with 500 people, including students, trainers, and volunteers. The celebration focused on empowering communication and promoting awareness on sign language. Participants enjoyed cultural events, awareness programs, and live demonstrations of International Sign Language. Deaf youth performed skits, dance, and visual displays. Trainers conducted mini sign language workshops encouraging hearing people to learn basic signs. Guests delivered motivational speeches on equality and accessibility. The event strengthened unity among Deaf communities and spread the message of inclusion, respect, and equal opportunities.

The Foundation of Deaf Women organized the program, with the support and participation of nearly 500 people. The event honored women’s leadership, empowerment, and social contribution. Free lunch and tea were provided to all participants. Essential appliance items were donated to support poor Deaf women and their families. Motivational speeches, awareness activities, and cultural programs highlighted the importance of equality and self-reliance. The celebration strengthened unity among the Deaf community and encouraged women to achieve greater opportunities in education, employment, and social participation.
All India Art & Cultural Deaf Society conducted a Fashion Show Ramp Walk Competition. From Tamil Nadu, several deaf women were selected for their beautiful and confident ramp walk and received special awards. The event was successfully held in August 2025.
